So, you want to write for Fantasy Road? Excellent choice. Grab your cape, sharpen your pencils, and read on before you send us your magnum opus.
What We’re Looking For
-
Articles about the comic book industry, collecting, grading, market trends, iconic runs, character histories, or general geekery. Basically, if it makes collectors drool over a long box, we’re interested.
-
Content must be original, engaging, and unpublished elsewhere (no recycled filler, please — we’ll know).
-
Word count sweet spot: 1,000–2,000 words. If you can write more without waffling, even better.
Backlinks (a.k.a. “The currency of the internet”)
-
You can include up to 2 backlinks in your article.
-
In return, we ask for a reciprocal backlink from your website to ours. Fair’s fair — think of it as the Spider-Man/Mary Jane of internet partnerships.
Tone & Style
-
We like it informal, witty, and a bit cheeky. Imagine explaining comics to your nerdy best mate over a pint — that’s the vibe. Having said that, you're you. Not us, so write in your own voice, but keep it clean!
-
Accessible to both hardcore collectors and people who just know Spider-Man from the movies.
Formatting (the boring but necessary bit)
-
Send us your draft in Word or Google Docs.
-
Throw in up to two images if you’ve got them (but only if you’ve got the rights to use them).
-
Include a short bio (2–3 sentences). Brag about your expertise, your collection, or how you once queued 8 hours at Comic-Con for a Funko Pop — we won’t judge.
What We Don’t Accept
-
Spammy, soulless, or blatantly promotional fluff.
-
Content that has nothing to do with comics or collectibles (sorry, no articles on crypto or knitting patterns).
-
Low-effort, unedited AI slop. We love robots, but not when they phone it in.
How to Submit
Fire your pitch or draft over to customerservice@fantasyroad.co.uk with the subject line: Guest Post Submission – Fantasy Road. We’ll read it, argue about it over coffee, and let you know if it’s a fit.
