FANTASY ROAD LIVE

privacy policy

This notice explains how the Fantasy Road Live Detector Chrome extension handles information when connecting a Whatnot seller page to the Fantasy Road Live desktop overlay.

In plain English

Your detected show data stays on your computer. The extension sends supported Whatnot show events only to the Fantasy Road Live desktop app at the local loopback address 127.0.0.1:8750. Fantasy Road does not receive, store, sell or use that event data on its servers.

Information the extension handles

To provide its single purpose, the extension may read the following information when it is visibly present on a supported Whatnot seller or show page:

  • Identifiers: public Whatnot usernames or display names associated with supported show events.
  • Transaction information: visible sale, bid or tip amounts, currency, item descriptions and order counts.
  • User activity: supported events such as sales, bids, follows, shares and tips.
  • Website content: short visible page text and safe semantic element attributes needed to recognise those events.

The extension does not read Whatnot passwords, payment-card numbers, cookies, private messages, form values or hidden Whatnot application state.

How the information is used

Detected information is used only to operate user-facing Fantasy Road Live features chosen by the seller, including overlay alerts, activity feeds, show totals, leaderboards, sales goals and game or reward meters. It is not used for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending or any unrelated purpose.

Storage and retention

The Chrome extension stores a locally generated pairing token and the user's diagnostics preference in Chrome's local extension storage. If developer diagnostics are enabled, it may also keep a rolling buffer of up to 500 short diagnostic records on the device. The user can clear this information by removing the extension or clearing its local storage.

The Fantasy Road Live desktop app may persist show configuration and detected event state locally so a show can recover after a restart. That local information can be cleared using the app's reset controls or by uninstalling the application and removing its local data.

Diagnostics exports

Nothing is uploaded automatically. The extension creates a JSON diagnostics file only when the user clicks an export button. The privacy-safe option replaces probable usernames before downloading the file. Exported files remain on the user's computer unless the user independently chooses to share them for support.

Sharing and transfer

Fantasy Road does not sell extension data or transfer it to third parties. The extension communicates with Whatnot only as part of the page the user has chosen to open, and with the Fantasy Road Live app only through the same-device loopback connection. Humans at Fantasy Road cannot access locally processed show data unless the user deliberately sends an exported diagnostic file for support.

Permissions

  • whatnot.com: required to detect supported events from visible Whatnot seller/show pages.
  • 127.0.0.1:8750: required to connect to the Fantasy Road Live desktop app on the same computer.
  • Storage: required for the pairing token, diagnostics preference and optional rolling diagnostics.
  • Downloads: used only after the user requests a diagnostics export.

The extension does not use remotely hosted executable code. Its JavaScript is included inside the reviewed extension package.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is handled only as necessary to provide or improve the extension's disclosed single purpose.
