How to Price Comic Books Using Comparable Sales

Identify the exact edition first
A price comparison is useful only when the title, issue, printing, variant and format match. Separate raw comics from certified slabs and distinguish restored, qualified or incomplete copies.
Prefer sold evidence to asking prices
An asking price shows what a seller hopes to receive. Completed sales show what buyers accepted. Compare several recent sales and note whether postage, bundles or best offers distort the headline figure.
Match condition honestly
Small differences in spine wear, colour-breaking creases, tears, staining, completeness and restoration can materially change demand. Compare your copy with examples in a similar condition band.
Choose a price for your selling strategy
