Firstly, I want to admit, that as previously stated, I'm not a huge fan of Pokemon, nor Pokemon cards. In fact, so much so, that I didn't have a clue what I was looking at. Did that matter? Absolutely not. Surprisingly, despite hearing time and time again that the Pokemon community is one of the most toxic out there, I didn't see any (or very little) of that at all. Sure, there were more trolls than our homeland, in the comic book category, and sure, there were definitely a good number of wankers, but you get that everywhere. Especially when you look into a mirror.
The people in our shows were helpful, friendly, and dare I say it? Pretty fun, for the most part. Though they do say crazy attracts crazy, and we all know I lost the plot a long time ago. A second unexpected bonus was the fact that me making up pokemon names, such as horny lizard, and adventureous dildo, quickly became one of our hooks. Luckily, Gary was far more professional. *Cough* boring. *Cough*.
In no time at all, we found ourselves with over 4,000 new followers, and an entire new community of regulars. What a result? Not just this, but because of how much fun that we had in the TCG ccategories, we've decided to branch out further, starting in MTG, Lorcana, even naruto when it drops and more.
Oi, don't groan! We both know you secretly love seeing the Fantasy Road death-star logo thing whever you look. Watch this space, we'll break into the organic vegetable delivery game next.
