CBSI Comics (ComicBookSpeculation)

CBSI Comics — short for ComicBookSpeculation Investing — is one of the longest-running online communities focused on the speculation side of comic collecting. The site combines an editorial news feed (covering casting announcements, trailer drops, creator news, and other catalysts that move secondary-market prices), a weekly Pick of the Week newsletter, and an active forum where members trade tips, debate market direction, and post their own picks.

The editorial content is published daily and is particularly useful for spotting emerging modern keys early — first appearances, first covers, and ratio variant incentives that often move dramatically when an associated film or TV announcement breaks. The forum culture is collaborative; long-time members openly share their own buys and sells, which is rare in a market where many dealers and YouTubers play their cards close.

A paid membership tier unlocks the full archive, exclusive Discord access, and early notification on pick alerts. The free site is sufficient for casual readers and is a useful daily check alongside Bleeding Cool and the YouTube speculation channels.

Note: speculation content is inherently noisy and you should treat all picks as opinion rather than guaranteed appreciation. CBSI's value is in the breadth of its sourcing and the depth of community discussion, not in stock-tip-style certainty.
