Dr strange (2016)

So I have a reputation to uphold here, im clearly a massive fan but let’s be true to the film geek in me.

BRILLIANCE.

I seriously have never understood the hate for the first dr strange film, I think it’s remarkably done.
The colouring and psychedelic feel you get is so true to his character I adore it.

His arc of discovering his flaws is just… OH YES, so good.
“You think you see through me well you don’t, I SEE THROUGH YOU”
Shut up you fool.
He starts so arrogant and stuck up his own arse, that’s always in him but he’s aware and learns.

It’s very emotionally powerful in my opinion, a surgeon loses his hands and in turn his job and what he deems to be his life.
Then becomes a very powerful sorcerer who can weald unfathomable power in his hands, yet he will never be able to use them hands for the only thing he wanted from life.
Tragic.

Don’t get me started on Christine either, great subplot.

Could we have gotten more from the film sure, but did we need to?
No not really.

It was everything it needed to be and nothing more, sometimes you don’t always need to over perform.

Dr strange is my underrated kind I don’t care what anyone says.
