How to Identify and Value Funko Pops
Identify a Funko Pop using its box number, series, barcode, sticker and variant before comparing current sold prices.
Match the name, series and box number
Start with the character name, product line and number printed on the box. The same character can have many releases, poses and finishes.
Inspect the sticker and figure
Chase, convention and retailer stickers can distinguish releases, but sticker swaps and shared international variants require care. Compare the figure itself, box details and known release information.
Use the barcode as an identifier, not proof of authenticity
A barcode can quickly narrow the product, but it does not prove that the figure, box and sticker are genuine or originally paired. Photograph all sides and assess inconsistencies separately.
Compare like-for-like sold prices
Match the exact release, sticker, variant and box condition. Use several recent completed sales and exclude bundles or damaged examples that are not comparable.
Use the right tool
Funkoz can reduce repetitive identification and listing work, but every result should be checked against the physical item and current market evidence.
