Long Box Mode splits the repetitive camera work from the decisions. One person can keep the phone moving while another checks results on desktop. A single operator can also use it methodically.
Set the session before the first photograph
Name the intake and box, add room, rack and starting position, choose photos per comic and assign operators if useful. Long Box is a workflow, not a comic type: Raw, Slab, Series or Collected Edition must still be selected.
Pair without installing an app
Scan the private QR code with the phone camera or share its secure link. It lasts two hours. Both devices need internet access, and the desktop should stay open while captures arrive.
Keep physical and digital order together
The position advances after the last configured photograph. Use Finish item when fewer images are needed. Pause before changing boxes, and update the current location on the phone before the next cover.
Deal with the queue, then close it
Quality warnings catch likely blur, glare and duplicates. Retry failed items rather than the whole intake. Review detected runs and possible gaps, save the useful results, print the box label and end the pairing session.
