From shelf to bank transfer in days, not weeks

How selling your Funko collection works

Four steps. No eBay listing fees, no shelf-photo sessions, no Mercari lowballers and no haggling. We come to you anywhere in the UK and pay the same day your Pops arrive.

Tell us what you have

A list, a spreadsheet, or a few photos of your shelves and boxes — whatever you've got. For Chases and exclusives, photos that show the sticker on the box let us quote tighter.

Get a real human valuation

Within 24–48 hours you'll have a written, no-obligation offer. We'll talk you through how each major Pop was priced and which references we used (eBay sold, PPG, Mercari).

Free insured UK collection

If you accept, we send a fully-insured courier to your front door at a time that suits you. You don't print labels, queue at a post office, or pay for postage — even for oversized 18-inch Mega Pops.

Same-day bank transfer

Once your collection lands and is checked, you are paid by bank transfer the same working day. No deductions, no hidden fees, no waiting period.

Why UK Funko sellers pick Fantasy Road

Specialist Funko buyers, paying more by keeping it simple

We don’t run a public shopfront — a deliberate decision we made in 2021 — and that means every penny we save on premises goes back into the offers we make for your Funko Pops. Stronger payouts than the average local game store, with none of the eBay listing-fee or Mercari haggling hassle.

UK-wide collection

Free fully-insured courier collection from anywhere in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Even oversized 18-inch Mega Pops — we bring the right-sized boxes.

Real specialist valuations

Every Funko collection is priced by hand against live eBay UK sold data, PPG trends and active Mercari listings. No bots, no template responses.

Top prices on Chases & exclusives

Chase variants, SDCC/NYCC convention exclusives and stickered retailer variants attract our strongest offers — the boxes UK collectors actively chase.

A little bit about us

So, who is Fantasy Road?

We’re a UK-based, family-run business with just a two-person team that has become one of the UK’s biggest and most reliable specialist collectibles buyers since we were established a little over five years ago in 2020. We’re not a giant firm. We’re not a corporate machine. There’s just two of us here — Matt (ex-developer, built the Fantasy Road website, runs the Whatnot shows, does the sales and purchasing) and Amy (spends Matt’s money). We are collectors first, dealers second.

Before Fantasy Road, we found ourselves in the same position you now find yourself in: shelves heaving with Pops we no longer had room for, no idea who to trust to buy them, and a rolodex of UK dealers who either didn’t reply or sent back lowball offers that didn’t even cover the original RRP. Lowballs, lies, and rude responses. No, thank you.

And so, Fantasy Road was born. We strive to be a place where you’re not just a number, and our responses aren’t templated. We treat you like we would have wanted to be treated ourselves — with respect, and with as much information as possible. We value transparency, and we’re happy to answer any question you might have about how we priced your Stan Lee SDCC, why the Holiday Boba Fett needs to be a stickered exclusive to hit the top tier, or how box condition feeds into the final number.

We started as comic book buyers but quickly grew into the wider pop-culture collectibles world — Funko Pops, Pokémon cards, Magic: The Gathering, vintage toys — which we’ve been purchasing from private sellers all over the UK for years. If it’s nerd-culture related, the chances are we’ll take it.

One important point: we don’t operate a public shopfront. That was a decision we made in 2021, when we realised the up-front costs of running a physical store were holding us back. So we moved online and pushed the money we were spending on premises into paying more for your Funko Pops — a decision that turned out to be one of the best we’ve ever made.

The selling-Funko cheat sheet

What we need to value your collection

To give you the most accurate (and competitive) Funko valuation, we need a few simple details. Don’t worry — this isn’t an exam. If you’re not sure about something, we’ll guide you through it. We buy Funko collections across the UK every week, so we know exactly what to look for.

The selling-Funko cheat sheet — what we need to value your Pop collection — Fantasy Road buys nationwide

01 — How many Pops do you have?

A rough estimate is fine. A standard IKEA Detolf shelf holds around 90 boxed Pops; a typical "wall" of stacked boxes around 200. If you’ve got loft boxes, count them and we’ll work it out together.

02 — What stickers are on the boxes?

The sticker is the single biggest price driver. SDCC, NYCC, Hot Topic, GameStop, Funko Shop, Chase, GITD, Flocked — even a quick photo of the front-right corner of each box tells us 80% of what we need.

03 — What sort of condition are the boxes in?

Mint, light shelf wear, creased, or beat-up — be honest. Photos of your worst, average and best boxes let us bracket the whole collection at a glance. We grade fairly, no surprises on arrival.

04 — Boxed, out-of-box, or both?

Boxed Pops carry the bulk of the value, especially for stickered exclusives. We do still quote on out-of-box Chases, exclusives and vaulted figures — just at a softer price. Modern in-production OOB Pops are usually a polite pass.

How we value Funko Pops

Honest valuations, benchmarked against live UK secondary-market data

Every Funko Pop we quote on is benchmarked against three live data points: recent eBay UK sold listings (the price collectors actually paid in the last 30 days, not the wishful asking prices), PPG (Pop Price Guide) trend data (the global community-tracked average for that exact stickered variant), and active Mercari and Facebook Marketplace UK listings for the same exclusive sticker. Funko prices move fast — a Pop that traded for £40 last summer might be £120 this week if the show or film returned to streaming — so we quote on today’s data, not last year’s.

We then adjust for box condition. A mint-boxed SDCC Stan Lee with sharp corners is worth dramatically more than the same Pop with creased flaps and a yellowed window, and we’ll tell you which bracket each piece sits in honestly. We grade fairly — a softer offer with no surprises beats an inflated quote followed by a deduction once the courier arrives.

Out-of-box (OOB) figures are quoted separately and only where the figure is vaulted, exclusive or a Chase — modern in-production OOB Pops have very little resale value and we’ll tell you that up front rather than waste your time arranging a courier. The figure we agree in writing is the figure that lands in your account — no “settling-in” deductions, no “after a closer look” renegotiation.

Frequently asked questions

Selling Funko Pops in the UK — your questions, answered

The same handful of questions come up over and over again from UK Funko sellers. Here are the honest answers — the same ones we’d give over the phone.

How do I sell my Funko Pop collection in the UK?
Send us photos or a list of your Funko Pops via the form at the bottom of this page. We'll come back to you within 24-48 hours with a free, no-obligation valuation. If you accept, we arrange free insured nationwide collection and pay you by bank transfer the same day your Pops arrive and are checked.
Do you buy Funko Pop Chase variants?
Yes — Chase variants are exactly the kind of Funko we pay strongest for. We quote on every Chase rarity (1-in-6, 1-in-36, even the rare 1-in-72 metallic Chases) and on the long-vaulted early Chases that command serious money on the secondary market (Tinkerbell GITD, Boba Fett Metallic, Freddy Funko Chases, etc.). The "Chase" sticker on the box is what triggers the premium offer.
Do you buy convention exclusive Funko Pops (SDCC, NYCC, ECCC)?
Absolutely. SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con), NYCC (New York Comic Con), ECCC (Emerald City Comic Con), C2E2 and Funko Fundays exclusives are our bread and butter — these are the limited-run figures collectors actively chase, and we pay accordingly. We also buy European convention exclusives (London Comic Con, Lucca Comics) and vintage Toy Tokyo and Funko HQ exclusives.
Do you buy retailer exclusive Pops (Hot Topic, GameStop, BoxLunch, Target, Funko Shop)?
Yes — every major retailer exclusive sticker (Hot Topic, GameStop, BoxLunch, Target, FYE, Walmart, Books-A-Million, Pop In A Box, Funko Shop / Funko Web, Amazon, Disney Store, Barnes & Noble, GameStop GITD, Hot Topic Pre-Release) is on our buy list. Stickered boxes always quote higher than non-exclusive equivalents, even for the same character.
Do you buy vaulted Funko Pops?
Vaulted Pops (figures Funko has officially retired and won't reprint) are the highest-demand part of any collection. We quote strongest on early-vault grails (Stan Lee SDCC, Dumbo Clown Face, Boba Fett Holiday Edition, Alex DeLarge, original Pennywise, the early DC Universe and Marvel waves) but every vaulted figure carries a meaningful premium over current-production Pops.
Do the Funko Pops need to be in their original box?
Boxed figures in good condition attract our strongest offers — the box is part of the value, especially for stickered exclusives and vaulted Pops. We do still buy out-of-box (OOB) figures for vaulted, exclusive and Chase variants, just at a softer price. For modern in-production figures we'll usually only quote on boxed copies because OOB modern Pops have very little resale value.
How much does box condition affect the price?
Box condition matters more for Funko than for most collectibles, because the secondary market grades aggressively. Mint boxes (no shelf wear, sharp corners, clean windows) get full market value. Light shelf wear typically lands at 80-90% of mint, moderate creasing at 50-70%, and major damage (crushed corners, torn flaps, yellowed windows) drops to 30-50%. We grade fairly and tell you which bracket each Pop sits in honestly — even when that means a softer offer.
Do you buy oversized Pops (10-inch and 18-inch)?
Yes — 6-inch, 10-inch and 18-inch Pops (sometimes called Mega Pops or Super Sized) are all on our buy list. The oversized Marvel, DC, Star Wars and Disney figures (especially the 18-inch Stay Puft, Iron Giant, Voltron and Optimus Prime) carry strong demand on the UK secondary market, and we'll arrange courier collection that's appropriate for the larger box dimensions.
Do you buy Funko variants (Glow-in-the-Dark, Flocked, Metallic, Diamond, Scented)?
Every variant finish is on our buy list: Glow-in-the-Dark (GITD), Flocked, Metallic, Diamond Glitter, Black Light, Scented, Patina, Earth Day, Pride, Holiday/Christmas, Translucent, Glow Chase, Bloody/Bobble Heads. Variant stickers always quote higher than the standard Common, especially when paired with a retailer or convention exclusive sticker on the same box.
What Funko Pops do you NOT buy?
We don't buy custom-painted/custom-modified Pops, bootleg or unauthorised copies, heavily damaged out-of-box modern figures, or large lots of common in-production figures with no exclusives or chases mixed in. Funko keychains, mini Mystery Minis blind boxes (sealed only — opened blind boxes have no resale market) and Pop! Vinyl Town buildings are also generally not on our buy list as standalone items.
