Timing guide

How Long Does CGC Grading Take From the UK?

Understand CGC turnaround estimates, UK transit, pressing time and the milestones involved in a comic submission.

There is no single guaranteed UK turnaround. Fantasy Road intake is the receipt, order match, quantity and visible-condition check, and account logging. Current in-house pressing is typically around 21 days after intake, and consolidated submissions leave for CGC twice per month before CGC’s own estimated tier time begins.

What the published estimate covers

CGC tier estimates normally apply to work at CGC rather than every day from your first UK postage to delivery home. Submission intake and status changes may not be immediate.

Signature authentication, pressing, custom services or tier corrections can change the schedule.

Build a realistic timeline

Allow time for your parcel to reach Fantasy Road, intake checks, approximately 21 days for booked in-house pressing, the next of two monthly onward submissions, CGC processing and the return journey.

Arrival just after an onward-submission cut-off can add roughly the interval to the next dispatch. Do not submit against a fixed sale or event deadline unless the available tier and buffer make delay acceptable.

Track milestones, not promises

Fantasy Road records stages such as received, prepared, sent, at CGC, graded and returned. These updates explain where the order is without turning an estimate into a guarantee.

CGC’s official UK services page remains the source for current published working-day estimates.

What to do next

Use this guidance to shortlist suitable comics, then use the Fantasy Road submission form for current prices and service eligibility. CGC assigns the final grade and its published turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees.
