What pressing may improve
Controlled pressing may reduce dents, waviness, light spine roll, folded corners and non-colour-breaking bends where the paper remains suitable. Dry cleaning may reduce some fingerprints and surface deposits without adding colour or material.
What it cannot repair
Pressing cannot replace missing paper, restore lost ink or remove colour-breaking creases, tears, heavy staining, foxing or brittle pages. A comic dominated by permanent defects may not justify the additional cost and handling.
Standalone or before grading
Choose “Modern Press & Clean Only” or “Vintage Press & Clean Only” on the same submission form if you want the raw comic returned. Alternatively, select preparation with an eligible CGC grading tier.
What intake and insurance mean
Intake is the receipt, order match, quantity and visible-condition check, and account logging completed before work begins. Once received, comics are covered throughout in-house handling and pressing and the arranged return—not only against fire and theft while stored on the premises.
