Authentication versus witnessing
JSA authentication is an expert opinion on an existing autograph. It is different from a witnessed signature programme because neither Fantasy Road, JSA nor CGC necessarily observed the signature being applied.
How to submit a signed comic
Add the comic to the Fantasy Road form, select an eligible CGC tier and choose JSA authentication for each signature requiring review. Provide accurate signer information and select signature grading only where appropriate.
Understand the outcome
Authentication and comic grading are separate assessments. JSA evaluates the signature, while CGC assesses the comic and determines the grade and applicable label. Current eligibility and turnaround estimates should be checked before submitting.
